Stewardship is the lifestyle of one who has accepted Christ’s lordship and is walking in partnership with God, acting as His agent to manage His affairs on earth. It begins with the recognition that God is the rightful owner of everything—the earth, our resources, our time, our bodies, and even our very lives. We are simply trustees, called to manage His gifts faithfully.
True stewardship extends far beyond money. It encompasses every aspect of our lives, including our time, talents, physical health (the temple of the Holy Spirit), and our environment. Giving is an act of worship—a joyful response to God’s goodness, not mere duty or obligation. As Scripture declares, “The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it” (Psalm 24:1), and God requires that stewards be found faithful (1 Corinthians 4:2).
At Maravile SDA Church, the Stewardship Department exists to educate, inspire, and support members in embracing a life of faithful stewardship—recognizing that every decision we make is a spiritual decision with eternal significance.
