Our church strongly believes that music is one of the most powerful instruments that God employs in His work of saving souls. We therefore try our best to be a collaborator with God in this aspect as well to uplift Christ before humanity, for when he is lifted, he will draw many unto Himself; John 12:32.
The melody of song, poured forth from many hearts in clear, distinct utterance, is one of God’s instrumentalities in the work of saving souls. — Ellen G. White, Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 493 (as cited in Evangelism, p. 496) and Singing is as much an act of worship as is prayer. Indeed, many a song is prayer. — Ellen G. White, Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 594
The Maravile SDA Church Choir is a dedicated ministry in our Church, committed to glorifying God and enriching congregational worship through sacred music. Rooted in the Adventist tradition that values music as a powerful medium for prayer, praise, and proclamation, the choir (or its individual members) leads the Maravile congregation in songs that uplift the soul, teach biblical truth, and prepare hearts for hearing God’s Word.
Every song presented by the Maravile SDA Church Choir is carefully and prayerfully selected to uplift Christ as revealed from the Holy Scriptures. Whether through traditional hymns, gospel melodies, or a cappella arrangements, the choir ensures that each piece reflects the character, love, and redemptive work of Jesus as shown in the Bible. The choir believes that music is a form of spiritual ministry—pointing not to human talent but to the Savior alone.
Rehearsals include prayer, vocal training, and biblical reflection on the lyrics being sung, ensuring that every song is offered as a genuine act of worship. As Maravile, we have adopted a tradition that every church member is a church choir member. However, we also welcome visitors to join our meetings, singing, and training sessions.
