Youth Ministry is a work of the Maravile SDA that is conducted for, with, and by young people. The primary focus is the salvation of youth through Jesus Christ and their acceptance and involvement in the mission of the church. The purpose of the Youth Department is to facilitate and support the ministry of the Church in winning, training, holding, and reclaiming its youth. All of its activities are coordinated into a master strategy for discipling and youth retention. The mission of Adventist Youth Ministries is: “To lead young people into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and help them embrace His call to discipleship” .
Programs and Activities
The Youth Department serves the church through the following specialized ministries and programs:
- Ambassador Club (ages 16–21) and Senior Youth/Young Adults (ages 22–30+)
- Public Campus Ministry – Supporting Seventh-day Adventist students attending non-Adventist colleges and universities
- Volunteer Programs – Missionary and service opportunities for youth
Core Objectives
The department seeks to :
- Provide youth with a Bible-based foundation for a lifelong relationship with Christ
- Lead youth to discover and develop their spiritual gifts and abilities
- Equip and empower youth for a life of service within God’s church and the community
- Train youth for leadership roles within the Church
Key Emphasis Events
- Global Youth Day – An annual event where youth are mobilized for community service and outreach
- Week of Prayer – Special emphasis on spiritual renewal for junior and senior youth
- Ambassador Day – A special Sabbath dedicated to highlighting the Ambassador ministry
